Public Advisory: Provincial Government Website and IT Services
to be Impacted by Scheduled Power Outage

The Department of Transportation and Works and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) advise that a scheduled power outage to allow for electrical upgrades at three primary Provincial Government buildings in St. Johns, will occur this upcoming weekend (Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26).

Due to the necessary power outages at the OCIO on 40 Higgins Line and East and West blocks of the Confederation Building, Provincial Government IT services and website will be unavailable during this time.

This outage was scheduled on the weekend to allow the Provincial Government to make these essential upgrades with the least level of impact on public services.

The affected on-line forms and applications that are frequently used by the public include:

Business Tax Filing
Companies and Deeds Online
Lien Check Services
Lobbyist Registry
Student Financial Services (Student Aid)
Vehicle Registration Renewal
Mineral Rights Admin System
Wildlife Information Management
Government Purchasing Agency (GPA) Tender site
Travel Destination Management System
