Transportation and Works May 12, 2008 Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in Demonstration of Rumble Strips The Honourable Dianne Whalen, Minister of Transportation and Works, will observe the installation of rumble strips on the Trans-Canada Highway tomorrow (Tuesday, May 13). Officials from Humber Valley Paving will install the rumble strips at 12:00 noon near Paddy�s Pond, across from Islander R.V. Rumble strips are milled out sections outside the white shoulder line that alert inattentive drivers if they begin veer off the highway.
