Transportation and Works March 6, 2008 Over $2 Million on the Way for Road Infrastructure in Burgeo-La Poile
Better driving conditions are in store for motorists in Burgeo-La Poile this summer as the Honourable Dianne Whalen, Minister of Transportation and Works, today announced an investment of $2.1 million for the area under the Provincial Roads Improvement Program. "This government has more than doubled the roads program funding in recent years, from $30 million in 2004-05 to $73 million in 2008-09," said Minister Whalen. "We have an aggressive plan to address the state of our provincial roads and bring them to a condition that meets our satisfaction." Planned road work for the Burgeo-La Poile area includes:
