The Newfoundland and Labrador Shooting Association is hosting a 10 metre air rifle and air pistol competition Saturday, November 29, starting at 9:00 am, in the High Performance Marksmanship and CSCA Training Centre, School of Human Kinetics and Recreation PE-1002.

The events are divided into the men�s 60 shot and the women�s 40 shot series. Rules for the match are available of the ISSF web site. Limited equipment is available to borrow and pellets may be purchased at $12.50 per tin of 500 or $2.50 for 100. Shooters bringing their own equipment must contact the match chair before the 29th. Shooters may elect to supply their own .177 cal soft lead pellets.

Junior athletes with birth dates between December 31, 1991 and January 1, 1996 and attaining the appropriate Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS), will be eligible for a spot on the 2009�10 provincial junior team. Details are available from the match chair.

Where possible the association will follow ISSF rules for the 10 metre events. Sub juniors (14 and under) may opt to use a two handed grip in air pistol, unless they wish to be considered for the provincial junior team.

Match Fee: $10.00 for one event $15.00 for two.

Men�s scores are out of a maximum 600 points, women�s scores are out of a maximum 400 points.
