National Basketball Championships

After winning their first games of the tournament both the Midget Boys and Girls fell to 1-2 at the National Basketball Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia yesterday.

The midget girls lost to both Nova Scotia (54-43) and Alberta (85-39) yesterday. Heidi Luby was top scorer against Alberta with nine points while Hannah Jardine scored 20 in the loss to Nova Scotia.

The boy�s team also fell twice losing to N.B. (81-51) and to B.C. (86-40). James Kennedy led the way in scoring with 13 against BC and 17 against N.B.

The final games in the round robin event have the boys and girls teams facing Quebec. The playoffs will commence on Friday and Saturday.
