Tourism, Culture and Recreation July 10, 2008 The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Midget Boys Basketball Team to Compete in Blue Nose Invitational The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will be sending the Provincial Midget Boys Program to Halifax, Nova Scotia this weekend, July 11-13, to compete in the prestigious Blue Nose Invitational. The team will compete in the U16 division against New Brunswick U15, Nova Scotia U15, NB U16 and Club Halifax. The NL team will be split into two teams to ensure lots of competition for the athletes. Team NL #1 will consist of Keith Norman, Jamie Kennedy, Brandon Fudge, Jonathon Hickey, Brad Jordan and Mark Cashin of St. John�s, and Kyle Manning of St. Bride�s. Team NL #2 consists of Sam Forsey, Alex Murphy, Shane Stack, Sean Cowan of St. John�s, Brad Rose and Adam Keating of Mount Pearl, and Gary Neville of St. Mary�s. The tournament will be a tune up for the team attending the National Midget Championship in Kamloops, British Columbia during the first week of August.
