The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Provincial Club Basketball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host four club championships this weekend, January 11-12.

The U13 Girls will take place at St. Francis of Assisi in Outer Cove while the U14 Girls will play at St. Kevin�s Jr. High in the Gould�s. The U13 and U14 boys championships will take place at the College of The North Atlantic in St. John�s. Clubs entered include F.S. Academy, Square Up Sonics, Gould�s Hoopsters, Cowan Heights Youth Basketball and Mount Pearl Minor.

Teams winning in each category will represent the province at the Eastern Canadian Championships in Quebec on June 26th 2008.

Play gets underway Friday and will conclude with the championship games slated for Sunday afternoon. For a complete schedule, please visit the NLBA web site at www.nlba.nf.ca
