Information Session to be Held in St. John�s Ed Ring, Information and Privacy Commissioner, will be conducting the first of a series of town hall meetings at the Capital Hotel, St. John�s, this evening (Wednesday, October 1) at 7:00. Andrea Neill, assistant commissioner with the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada, will also be in attendance. The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner is an independent office of the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador. The office is responsible for protecting and upholding access to information and protection of privacy rights under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPPA).
