Public Advisory: Free Lecture in St. John�s on Geological Exploration
in Northern Labrador

The Geological Survey of Newfoundland and Labrador, a division of the Mines Branch of the Department of Natural Resources, is sponsoring a free public lecture, 4,000 Years of Geological Exploration in Northern Labrador, at the Delta Hotel, Salon B, St. John�s, on October 30 at 7:30 p.m. The lecture is part of Mineral Resources Review 2008, the premiere event in the province�s mining industry, taking place this week.

Did you know that the oldest mine in eastern North America is located in Labrador? Travel back in time with Dr. Derek Wilton, professor of Earth Sciences, Memorial University, as he shares his passion for our province�s geology. Admission is free.
