Public Advisory: Province Conducting Prescribed Burn

The Department of Natural Resources advises that it will conduct a prescribed burn today (Monday, September 22) at Seal Bay in the Robert�s Arm area. The burn is being done as part of silviculture management activity to prepare the site for planting.

The burn was previously scheduled for Tuesday, September 16. The prescribed burn will continue today, approximately 45 kilometres off the Trans-Canada Highway at the Robert�s Arm Intersection along the Seal Bay Access Road. The prescribed burn is located in Forest Ecosystem Management District 9 on the west coast and will take three to five days to complete, weather conditions permitting.
