Natural Resources September 19, 2008 Public Advisory: Province Conducting Prescribed Burn The Department of Natural Resources advises that it will conduct a prescribed burn near River Brook. The burn is being done as part of silviculture management activity to prepare the site for planting. The burn near the Colbournes/River Brook area is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, and will take place approximately 500 metres from the Trans-Canada Highway in Forest Ecosystem Management District 14. The prescribed burn will continue for several days, when weather conditions permit. This burn was previously scheduled but postponed due to weather conditions.
