Natural Resources September 16, 2008 Public Advisory: Province Conducting Prescribed Burn The Department of Natural Resources advises that it will conduct a prescribed burn this week at Seal Bay in the Robert�s Arm area. The burn is being done as part of silviculture management activity to prepare the site for planting. The burn was previously scheduled for Wednesday, September 10. The prescribed burn will continue today (Tuesday, September 16) and take place approximately 45 kilometres off the Trans-Canada Highway at the Robert�s Arm Intersection along the Seal Bay Access Road. The prescribed burn is located in Forest Ecosystem Management District 9 on the west coast and will take three to five days to complete, weather conditions permitting. -30- Media contact: 2008 09 16 9:30 a.m.
