Public Advisory: Province Conducting Prescribed Burn in Crabbes River Area

The Department of Natural Resources advises that it will conduct a prescribed burn this week, weather permitting, near the Colbournes/River Brook area, near Crabbes River on the west coast. The burn is being done as part of silviculture management activity to prepare the site for planting.

The burn is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, September 3) at a location approximately 200 metres off the Trans-Canada Highway. The prescribed burn is located in Forest Management District 14 and will continue for several days as weather conditions permit.
