The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs, and the Honourable Patty Pottle, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, will be in Nain on Monday, July 28, to announce enhancements to the Northern Strategic Plan for Labrador. The announcement will include details of changes to the Air Foodlift Subsidy Program. Also attending will be the Honourable Dave Denine, Minister of Municipal Affairs, and the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation.

The news conference will take place in the conference room of the Atsanik Lodge beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The Air Foodlift Subsidy Program is a Provincial Government initiative that ensures residents of Labrador who live on the north and south coasts and the straits have access to wholesome, nutritious foods at a reasonable cost.
