Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Housing Meeting in Ottawa The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister Responsible for Housing and Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will attend a Provincial/Territorial meeting of Housing Ministers on Wednesday, October 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Foster Farm Community Centre, 1065 Ramsey Crescent, Ottawa. Provincial and territorial ministers responsible for housing will meet with representatives of national housing organizations and Aboriginal leaders to make the case for long-term federal engagement in housing and discuss the major issues facing the future of housing in Canada. Other ministers attending are: Minister Doug Currie, Prince Edward Island; Minister Mary Schryer New Brunswick; Minister Jim Watson, Ontario; Minister Gord Mackintosh, Manitoba; Minister Jim Kenyon, Yukon; Minister Michael McLeod, North West Territories; Minister Patterk Netser of Nunavut will be represented by Peter Scott, President of the Nunavut Housing Corporation. - 30 - Media contacts:
