Media Advisory: Minister to Address International Union of Operating Engineers Conference

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will address delegates attending the 50th Canadian Conference of the International Union Operating Engineers (IUOE) in St. John�s.

The minister is scheduled to give his address on Monday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m. at The Fairmont Newfoundland (Salon B).

The IUOE has a total membership of approximately 400,000, and has 1,500 members within the province. This 50th Canadian Conference marks only the second time the IUOE�s General Executive Board has met in Canada.
