Media Advisory: Minister to Open Career Work Centre

The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will officially open the new Career Work Centre in Placentia on Monday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. The new centre is located at 116-120 Main Street, Dunville. (In the building called The Business Centre, approximately 30 minutes drive after turning off the TCH).

The Career Work Centre network provides a full range of labour market information and employment services designed to help job seekers explore their career options and help businesses adapt to labour market trends. The centres provide access to various services including professional career counseling, and are well equipped with computers, faxes, and any other technology required to facilitate a job search. Career Work Centres are being established across the province to help businesses address labour market challenges and help job seekers find the best opportunities in the growing provincial economy.
