Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Annual Meetings of Health Ministers

The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Health and Community Services, will attend the annual meeting of Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Health today (Thursday, September 4) and the annual meeting of Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Health on Friday, September 5. The meetings are taking place in Quebec City.


The ministers will discuss the sustainability of health systems, the issue of population growth combined with an aging population, the increased prevalence of chronic diseases, demands on health system infrastructure, and a rising demand for new drugs and technologies.
