The following is being distributed at the request of the Public Utilities Board�s Petroleum Pricing Office (PPO):

All Maximum Fuel Prices see Further Reductions

Effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008, the Public Utilities Board lowered all maximum fuel prices, as per its scheduled biweekly adjustment.

Maximum fuel prices decreased as follows:

  • All types of gasoline by 5.4 cents per litre (cpl);

  • Ultra low sulphur diesel by 1.1 or 1.2 cpl � depending on the HST rounding impact;

  • Furnace and stove oil by 2.32 cpl; and,

  • Residential propane used for home heating purposes by 1.7 cpl.

  • Refined fuel products continued to see overall downward pricing movement this week causing maximum prices to decline even with the offsetting decrease in the value of the Canadian dollar. Maximum gasoline prices have dropped by nearly 25 cpl in three weeks in this province.
