Locations and Dates Announced for Condominium Act Information Sessions The Department of Government Services announced today the locations and dates it will hold public information sessions as part of its consultation process for a new Condominium Act. "Since we announced the consultation for the Condominium Act just a few weeks ago, we have received a great deal of interest from many different sectors," said the Honourable Kevin O�Brien, Minister of Government Services. "I am anticipating that we will have an excellent response for our information sessions. This interest will ensure that we develop the best possible legislation that reflects the current practices in the industry and allows for future growth." Comments are asked to be submitted by October 31, 2008, and can be received by e-mail at condoconsultation@gov.nl.ca or in writing addressed to: Policy and Planning Division The present Condominium Act was drafted in 1975 and does not currently reflect the growth in the condominium industry.
