Media Advisory: Ministers to Speak at Biennial
Convention of Two provincial ministers will speak at the Biennial Convention of the Labrador Fishermen�s Union Shrimp Company in L�Anse aux Clair. The convention will run from November 17 to 19. The Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will speak on Tuesday, November 18, at 4:30 p.m. Minister Hedderson will examine the important role that the shrimp company has played in the Labrador fishing industry and Provincial Government fisheries initiatives in the region. The Honourable John Hickey, Minister of Labrador Affairs, will be the special guest speaker at the convention banquet on Wednesday, November 19. The banquet will commence at 7:00 p.m. Minister Hickey will speak on Provincial Government initiatives in Labrador, including implementation of the Northern Strategic Plan. - 30 - Media contacts:
