Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Meeting of
Atlantic Council of Fisheries and Aquaculture Ministers

The Honourable Tom Rideout, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, will attend a meeting of the Atlantic Council of Fisheries and Aquaculture Ministers (ACFAM) in Montreal on Friday, February 1.

Fisheries renewal, the seal industry and aquaculture development will be among the issues discussed at the meeting.

While in Montreal, the minister will also be meeting directly with the Honourable Laurent Lessard, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for the Government of Quebec. The two ministers will discuss numerous issues of mutual importance to both jurisdictions, including the seal and shrimp fisheries and fishing industry renewal.
