Media Advisory: Major Announcement on Innu Nation Land Claims Negotiations

The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Mark Nui, Grand Chief of the Innu Nation, will make a major announcement on Innu Nation Land Claims negotiations.

The Premier and Grand Chief Nui will be joined by: the Honourable Patty Pottle, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs; Innu Nation Deputy Grand Chief, Peter Penashue; Sheshatshiu Innu Chief, Anastasia Qupee; Mushuau Innu Chief, Prote Poker; and President and CEO of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and the province�s energy corporation, Ed Martin.

The announcement will take place at the Media Centre, Ground Floor, East Block, Confederation Building, at 12 noon today (September 26).
