The Honourable Danny Williams, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, has been invited to co-chair the Public Policy Forum Testimonial Dinner. Premier Williams will co-chair the event with Dr. Indira Samarasekera, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Alberta this evening (Thursday, April 10). The dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front Street West, Constitution Hall, Room 106/107.

Premier Williams will participate in the presentation of a number of prestigious awards. Among those awards being presented is the testimonial award that is given annually to Canadians who have made significant contributions to public policy and public management throughout their careers. The Public Policy Forum is an independent, non-partisan organization that is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in government. The testimonial dinner was first established in 1988 to celebrate Canadian citizens that demonstrate the forums commitment to understanding and cooperation between the public and private sectors and to improving the quality of government in Canada.
