Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, acting Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:
Humber Village Area Snowmobile Trail
Proponent: John Jenniex and Cecil Collins
(Reg. 1402)

The proposal is to develop a two kilometre trail to connect with the existing NL Snowmobile Federation (NLSF) system. The trail will start at Pine Street of Humber Village and run through former forestry roads to the NLSF groomed trail system in the Hughes Brook area. Construction is to begin upon approval.

The undertaking was registered on December 17, 2008; public comments are due by January 22, 2009; and the minister's decision is due by January 31, 2009.
