Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL PREVIEW REPORT GUIDELINES ISSUED:

Portland Creek Agricultural Land Development
Proponent: Brophy Dairy Farms Ltd. (Reg. 1365)

The minister has issued final guidelines for the Environmental Preview Report (EPR) for the above undertaking.  The proponent is now required to prepare the EPR and submit the document for review by the assessment committee and the public. The guidelines are available and may be accessed on the department�s website or by contacting the Chair of the Assessment Committee, Milton Crewe, at 709-637-2375 or e-mail miltoncrewe@gov.nl.ca.

Old Perlican Chitin Plant
Proponent: Quinlan Brothers Ltd. (Reg. 1382)

The minister has issued final guidelines for the Environmental Preview Report (EPR) for the above undertaking.  The proponent is now required to prepare the EPR and submit the document for review by the assessment committee and the public. The guidelines are available and may be accessed on the department�s website or by contacting the Chair of the Assessment Committee, Paul Rideout, at 709-729-4063 or e-mail paulrideout@gov.nl.ca.
