Public Advisory: Crabbes River Bridge Along TRailway Remains Closed

The public is advised the TRailway bridge spanning Crabbes River, located in the Town of St. Fintans, Western Newfoundland, remains closed. With the upcoming opening of the salmon fishing season, users of the river near the Crabbes River bridge are asked to refrain from using the structure or the section of the river spanned by the bridge.

Due to an ice jam, the structure was closed on April 9, 2008 and must remain closed, as it has been determined the bridge is unsafe.

The Provincial Government has erected signs and barricades on the Crabbes River TRailway structure, and the public is advised not to use the structure under any circumstances.
