Environment and Conservation Municipal Affairs May 8, 2008 Media Advisory: Drinking Water Safety Plan to be Unveiled
The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, together with the Honourable Dave Denine, Minister of Municipal Affairs, will hold a news conference in Gander to unveil the Drinking Water Safety Plan for rural Newfoundland and Labrador. The news conference will take place at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 9) in Salon D at the Albatross Hotel. The plan provides a comprehensive overview of drinking water quality issues in municipalities and communities in rural parts of the province, and outlines a sustainable plan of action to deal with those issues. - 30 - Media contacts:
