Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT ACCEPTED AS SATISFACTORY:

Newfoundland and Labrador Refining Project
Proponent: Newfoundland and Labrador Refining Company        (Reg. 1301)

Following public and government review of the November 1, 2007 submission of the amendment to the EIS dated July 27, 2007, the minister has advised the proponent that the amended EIS meets the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act and EIS Guidelines and no further work is required.
