Official Addition of
Votes for August 27 By-Elections
Under the
authority of Section 79 of the Elections Act, 1991, the returning
officers in the electoral districts of Baie Verte-Springdale and Cape
St. Francis carried out an official addition of the votes on Saturday,
August 30, 2008.
The official
addition in Baie Verte-Springdale has resulted in eight less votes for
the New Democratic Party candidate, Tim Howse. These changes do not
affect the overall election results. Numbers remained the same in Cape
St. Francis.
