Notice of Special Ballot Deadline

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer would like to notify electors in the districts of Baie Verte-Springdale and Cape St. Francis that time is quickly running out to apply to vote by special ballot.

The deadline to apply for a special ballot is Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at 6 p.m. To get an application, visit the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (www.elections.gov.nl.ca), contact the Chief Electoral Office at 729-0712 or 1-877-729-7987, or contact your district Returning Office.

Completed special ballots may be mailed to or dropped off at the Chief Electoral Office, 39 Hallett Crescent, St. John�s, A1B 4C4. Additionally, electors may drop off completed ballots at the district Returning Office. These ballots must be received by Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 4:00 p.m.
