Education October 10, 2008 Media Advisory: Minister to Visit ArtsSmarts Program The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education, will visit an ArtsSmarts workshop being held by writer Carmelita McGrath and visual artist Louise Hudson on Tuesday, October 14, at St. Francis of Assisi in Outer Cove. ArtsSmarts is one of several arts-related programs in the K-12 system funded under the Provincial Government�s fine arts and cultural strategy, Cultural Connections. Minister Burke will be at St. Francis of Assisi, located at 29 Outer Cove Road, at 12:30 p.m. and will be joined by Reg Winsor, Executive Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. - 30 - Media contact: 2008 10 10 2:25 p.m.
