Education August 14, 2008 Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Camp GLOW Demonstrations The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will participate in the presentation and award ceremony for this year�s Camp GLOW, tomorrow (Friday, August 15) beginning at 12:30 p.m. The camp is being held at the Safety and Emergency Response Training (SERT) Centre in Stephenville. The event will also include fire demonstrations. Camp GLOW (Group Learning for Outgoing Women) is a week-long fire camp in which young women age 17 and older participate in firefighting training under the supervision of active female firefighters.
