Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Education Ministers Meeting

The Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Education, will meet with provincial and territorial education ministers February 25 and 26 at the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) meetings in Toronto.

The ministers will discuss common priorities, such as the advancement of literacy.

CMEC is an intergovernmental body composed of the ministers responsible for elementary, secondary and advanced education from the provinces and territories. Through CMEC, ministers share information and undertake projects in areas of mutual interest and concern.
