Meet St. Johns and Mount Pearls Very Own Special Olympics Athletes
at
STAPLES Business Depot, November 10

Local Special Olympics athletes will visit STAPLES Business Depot stores in St. Johns and Mount Pearl to help support the company's eighth annual Give a Dollar. Share a Dream fundraising campaign.

Athletes from the Team Newfoundland and Labrador Floor Hockey team will be at both locations from 1:00 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10. Eddie Furlong and Mark Peddle will be at the St. Johns location, while Andrew Ash, Travis Sceviour, Davis Wells and Andrew Hynes will be at the Mount Pearl location. These athletes will be representing Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2008 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Quebec City.

The Give a Dollar. Share a Dream campaign is conducted annually at all STAPLES Business Depot and Bureau en Gros store locations across Canada. Money raised through the annual fundraising campaign helps support Special Olympics athletes from communities across Canada.

This years campaign runs from Thursday (November 1) to Saturday (November 17). Upon checkout, customers will be asked to add a donation to their purchase to help contribute to the fundraiser. This is the eighth year that STAPLES Business Depot/Bureau en Gros has run this program.

"Our customers have given so generously over the past seven years of the campaign," said store general managers, Bob Brown and Sean Hanlon. "Last years campaign raised an incredible $527,202 for Special Olympics Canada, and with the help of all our customers we look forward to raising even more money this year."
