Two Clubs Compete in Opening Air Gun Event

This past weekend five shooters took part in the season�s first, air gun competition at the High Performance Marksmanship and CSCA Training Facility in St. John�s. Turn out for this first event meet organizer expectations, with six starts. Fours shooters competed in the Olympic air rifle and two shot the air pistol. Each event is shot with .177 pellet guns at 10 metres.

Top spot for the international men�s air rifle event went to Dave Woolridge with 567 out of possible 600. Erin Warr won the women�s event 371 of a possible 400. Top junior went to Jason Harnum with 470 out of 600

Tony Smith secured the top honours in the men�s air pistol event with 519 out of 600.
