Tourism, Culture and Recreation August 17, 2007 The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: National Female Basketball Scores The Newfoundland basketball U17 girls� team won their game on Thursday at the national championships in Vancouver, British Columbia against the Territories 79-44. While the U15 team lost their game against Quebec 68-58. The U15 team is 0-4 and the U17 team is 1-3 The U15 team is slated to play against PEI today (August 17), while the U17 team faces the Saskatchewan team. The tournaments continue throughout the weekend with the championship games slated for Saturday evening.
