Minister to Launch Recreation and sport fit into and contribute to the Provincial Government�s broader goal of improving the health and advancing the development of Newfoundland and Labrador. On Friday, May 25, the Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Tourism Culture and Recreation, will launch a provincial recreation and sport strategy at Vanier Elementary, St. John�s at 10:00 a.m. Unveiling of the strategy will follow a demonstration of physical activity by children and guests, including special guest, four-time Olympic champion Silken Laumann. -30- Media contact: 2007 05 24 9:45 a.m.
