Tourism, Culture and Recreation March 29, 2007 The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial Basketball Championships Seventeen teams will compete this weekend, March 23-25 in the U17 Boys A and B Provincial Pepsi Basketball Championships. The "A" division will be hosted by Gonzaga High School with nine teams competing. Teams competing include: Booth, Bishop�s, Holy Heart and Gonzaga from St. John�s, Corner Brook High, Roncalli of Avondale, Mount Pearl Senior High, Dunne Academy of St. Mary�s and Laval of Placentia. The "B" division will be hosted by St. Kevin�s High of the Gould�s. Other teams entered include: Mobile High, Holy Trinity of Torbay, Gander Collegiate, Baltimore of Ferryland, Ascension Collegiate of Bay Roberts, St. Lawrence High and Exploits Valley of Grand Falls-Windsor. Tournament play commences on Friday and will conclude with the championship games slated for Sunday afternoon.
