2007 CWG Gymnastics Team Wins PEI Classic

Newfoundland and Labrador team member, Laura Hurley, won the women�s CWG Division at the Prince Edward Island (PEI) Classic held this weekend in Charlottetown, with an all around score of 43.550. Laura also won the vault apparatus, scoring a 13.150 and the silver medal for Uneven Bars with a 7.700.

Keely Whitelaw finished third overall with a score of 42.300 and captured the silver medal on vault (12.250) and floor (12.150) as well as a bronze on beam (11.500).

Teammates Deidre Lambert and Courtney Parsons captured fourth and fifth place, respectively, with scores of 39.800 and 39.400. Courtney also captured the gold medal on floor with a score of 12.250.

In the men�s division, David Lane took the bronze medal in the vault competition with his score of 11.950.
