Provincial Basketball Championships 

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association kicks off the season this weekend, February 2-3, with 22 teams entering the provincial U11 Boys and Girls Provincial Pepsi Championships. 

St. John Bosco School in Shea Heights will host the U11 �A� Boys event while the �B� division will be played at St. Francis of Assisi School in Outer Cove.  Newtown Elementary of Mount Pearl will host the U11 Girls �A� division while St. Bernard�s of Witless Bay will host the �B� championship. 

Play gets under way on Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening.  For a complete list of all teams and schedules please visit the NLBA Web site at www.nlba.nf.ca or contact the provincial office at 576-0247.
