Deadline Extended for Provincial Art Procurement Program  

The Rooms Corporation wishes to advise interested individuals that, due to requests from the community, the deadline for the Provincial Art Procurement Program has been extended to January 22, 2007.   

Art procurement programs contribute to the appearance of Canada's public buildings and help to educate Canadians about the importance of arts and culture in Canada.  Moreover, such programs contribute to the professional development and economic success of Canadian artists, while promoting their talents and artistic accomplishments.  With an abundance of both seasoned and up-and-coming artists in Newfoundland and Labrador, the Provincial Art Procurement Program is crucial to the visual arts in the province.
