Ombudsman to Release Special Report on Facilities and Supports
for Female Offenders from Labrador

The Citizens� Representative for Newfoundland and Labrador, Mr. Barry Fleming, will be in Happy Valley � Goose Bay on Wednesday, June 13 to release his Special Report to the House of Assembly on facilities and supports for female offenders from Labrador.

This team investigation, the first of its kind undertaken by the Office of the Citizens� Representative, began in January of 2007 and has culminated in five recommendations for the province to consider.

A technical briefing for the media will be held at the Hotel North at 10:45 a.m. with a press conference to follow at 11:00 a.m.
