Public Advisory: Information Session Added for
Individuals Affected
by Tropical Storm Chantal
Officials from Fire and Emergency Services -
Newfoundland and Labrador (FES-NL) have announced an additional
information session for individuals affected by flooding as a result of
tropical storm Chantal.
The information session has been organized for
residents of Whitbourne, Trinity Shore and surrounding areas. It has
been scheduled for Saturday August 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lions
Club, Main Street in Whitbourne. Officials will remain on-site until
2:00 p.m. to assist with Disaster Recovery Assistance Applications.
Individuals who have been affected by the flooding are
encouraged to attend the information sessions. Previously announced
sessions are:

For residents of Placentia, Dunville, Long
Harbour, Fox Harbour, Ship Harbour, Cape Shore, Normans Cove and
area
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Royal Canadian Legion, Placentia
Friday, August 10, 2007
For residents of Spaniard�s Bay, Tilton, Upper
Island Cove, Bryants Cove, Harbour Grace, Carbonear, all other
areas affected in Conception Bay and Trinity Shore
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Knights of Columbus, Harbour Grace
FES-NL officials will also be available at the
Town Council Office in Harbour Grace on Friday, August 10
between 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to assist individuals with
Disaster Recovery Assistance Applications.
