Public Advisory: Information Sessions Scheduled
for Individuals Affected by Tropical Storm Chantal

Officials from Fire and Emergency Services - Newfoundland and Labrador (FES-NL) will hold information sessions for individuals affected by flooding as a result of Tropical Storm Chantal.

Information sessions have been scheduled as follows:

 

Wednesday, August 8

For residents of: Bay Roberts, North River, South River, Clarke�s Beach, Makinsons, Cupids, Brigus, Marysvale, Roche�s Line

Time:            8:00 p.m.

Location:       Bay Arena, Bay Roberts

 

Thursday, August 9

For residents of: Placentia, Dunville, Long Harbour, Fox Harbour, Ship Harbour, Cape Shore, Normans Cove and area

Time:            7:00 p.m.

Location:       Royal Canadian Legion, Placentia

 

Friday, August 10

For residents of: Spaniard�s Bay, Tilton, Upper Island Cove, Bryants Cove, Harbour Grace, Carbonear, all other areas affected in Conception Bay and Trinity Shore

Time:            7:00 p.m.

Location:       Knights of Columbus, Harbour Grace

 

FES-NL officials will also be available at the Town Council Office in Harbour Grace on Friday, August 10 between 12:00 p.m. � 7:00 p.m. to assist individuals with Disaster Recovery Assistance Applications.

Persons requiring further assistance with applications, or requiring assistance with food, clothing, and shelter, are asked to contact FES-NL at 1-888-395-5611 or e-mail nlemo@gov.nl.ca.
