"This will be my first opportunity to visit Labrador since my appointment as Minister of Justice and Attorney General," said Minister Kennedy. "I look forward to meeting with local organizations to discuss their concerns with the administration of justice in Labrador, as well as viewing the justice and corrections facilities located in Happy ValleyGoose Bay."

During his visit to Labrador, Minister Kennedy will meet with members of the Purple Heart Campaign that recently authored a report on the treatment of women in the Labrador justice system and with Aboriginal leaders to discuss their views and experiences in the legal system.
