The Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development will be hosting a Supplier Development Information Session in Bay Roberts on Tuesday, March 20.

"This is the 12th in a series of sessions that provide an opportunity for the local business community to interact with public sector purchasing agents and learn about the purchasing requirements of the public sector," said the Honourable Trevor Taylor, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development. "These sessions are beneficial for businesses interested in supplying goods or services to the public sector at the municipal, provincial or federal level."

The session will take place at the Klondyke Hotel, Bay Roberts, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Presentations from procurement specialists will be followed by a networking luncheon.

Bill Stirling, vice president, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, said, "This is a great opportunity for the local business community to learn about the purchasing process and to interact with industry representatives. The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, has a number of programs and services that can provide assistance to businesses that are interested in exploring new markets."

These sessions are delivered in cooperation with the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, as well as provincial, federal, and municipal public sector entities.
