Public Advisory: Emergency Social Services Available
for Persons Affected by Tropical Storm Chantal

Officials from the Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment (HRLE), with assistance from the Canadian Red Cross and the Salvation Army, will be available at two locations on Sunday, August 12, to meet with and register individuals and families in need of emergency shelter, food, clothing and personal services due to tropical storm Chantal.

For residents of Placentia, Dunville, Long Harbour, Fox Harbour, Ship Harbour, Cape Shore, Normans Cove and area, officials will be available 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the former Library Building, Town of Placentia

For residents of Spaniard�s Bay, Tilton, Upper Island Cove, Bryants Cove, Harbour Grace, Carbonear and area, officials will be available 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall, Town of Bay Roberts .

Residents are reminded that the information session organized for residents of Whitbourne, Trinity Shore, and surrounding areas is scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lions Club, Main Street, Whitbourne.  Officials from Fire and Emergency Services � Newfoundland and Labrador, HRLE, the Red Cross, and the Salvation Army will be present and available to meet until 2:00 p.m.
