Human Resources, Labour and Employment February 26, 2007 Media Advisory: Minister to Celebrate Supported Employment Month in Placentia The Honourable Shawn Skinner, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, will address the Genesis Employment Corporation�s Annual Employer and Supporter Recognition Night at the Star of the Sea Hall, Placentia, Tuesday, February 27. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. The annual occasion is held in partnership with the Argentia Area Chamber of Commerce. Minister Skinner will be joined by his colleague, Placentia and St. Mary�s MHA, Felix Collins. February is Supported Employment Month in Newfoundland and Labrador. This month�s theme � Making it Work � celebrates the significant contribution that persons with developmental disabilities make in their communities when employers and government work together to support their employment. This year also marks the Genesis Employment Corporation 10th anniversary in providing services in the community.
