Media Advisory: Official Opening of
New Provincial Drug Program Office in Stephenville

The Honourable Ross Wiseman, Minister of Health and Community Services, along with the Honourable Joan Burke, MHA for St. George�s � Stephenville East, and Tony Cornect, MHA for Port au Port, will officially open the new office of the Newfoundland and Labrador Prescription Drug Program (NLPDP) at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 18). The office is located at 29 Carolina Avenue in Stephenville.

The new office supports the introduction of the new Low Income Drug Program, implemented earlier this year. Additionally, the office will also manage the most recent enhancement to the drug program announced in Budget 2007 which will assist families with high-cost drugs, effective October 2007.
